The purpose of this Corporation as provided in this Charter is to improve the efficiency, development and acceleration of both the quality and quantity of economic growth, advancement of education and employment and business opportunities within the region by way of:

• Providing scholarships to individuals that enhance the business, economic and social development of the region.

• Providing funding to support property development that enhances the sustainability and growth of businesses.

 The Corporation shall have the legal power and authority to accept gifts and contributions from other associations, provided that the object specified by the donor is within the purpose of the Corporation.  Notwithstanding any other provision of the Articles of Incorporation, the purposes for which the corporation was formed are exclusively educational and charitable and within the meaning of Section 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code, as amended, or on any corporation, contributions to which are deductible under Section 170(c)(2) of the Internal Revenue Code as it now exists, or as it may hereinafter be amended, for so long as its provisions are in effect.
